Sinking

Returned to the boat this week to find her 90 cm lower thanks to the yearly draining of the Yonne for maintenance.

I’d be quite used to it if i moored on a drying creek. But I’ve got to say it is strange to see parts of the river you do not normaly get to see – unless your wearing concrete shoes! Sunk boats and cars have appeared and Jeannie is finding it fascinating.

Down side- Toilet will not flush due to the inlet being in the mud now. Don’t ask how we are getting round this

Experienced my first authentic french rendition of “oooh la la” yesterday topped with a full hand waving in the air moment: Whilst walking Jeannie (my dog) past a fisherman sheltering in his car, she took a quick squirt on the handles of his fishing poles! Mais non!
