We went on mass to Twickenham to watch the Varsity Match yesterday (Oxford v Cambridge). It must have been the coldest day of the year so far. We weren’t really able to get through too much beer as it was too cold to hold, although I did manage a fair bit of whisky!
The game was not too interesting but it was a great atmosphere. Everyone was on good form and there was no trouble (as expected really). The Oxford Trys were scored by a small lad of about 20, who looked about 30, already had a beard and had crafted a good RAF style moustache!
University does strange things to people.
